Aiden's First Packer Game!

On Monday August 11th we attended the Preseason Game against the Cincinnati Bengals at Lam beau Field. It was an aniversary gift from my parents and we had wonderful Club seats...you all know it would be hard to sit in the stands when you are 8 1/2 months pregnant!!! It was a nice trip and we had a great time. When we were leaving we believe we saw 2 of the Packers kids playing in the lobby of some of the private club sweets---Donald Driver and Nick Barnett's little boys they were in their dads jerseys and in full Packer Gear even down to the little ones yellow Crocks!!! I will need to find some of those for Aiden! I also wanted to update everyone on my dad. He is finally home and on many medications but at least is feeling better and trying to adjust after being bed ridden for 3 weeks in the hospital. He has lost over 20 pounds and looks rather frail but most of it was muscle mass so I know he will look better once he gets moving! Thanks again for all of your thoughts/calls/and prayers they all worked. He will meet with the GI doctor and surgon in around 3 weeks to determine if surgery is needed on the cyst that has formed (one of the biggest his surgon has scene 15-17cm. I will keep you all posted.

Don't Sweat the Small Stuff!

Well many of you know that my dad has recently fallen ill. He is now going on his 3rd week in the Critical Care unit at Swedish American Hospital. Things are finally looking up and we are all just getting through these hard times. Each day more positives outweigh the negatives so we are taking that in stride. They say when life gives you lemons....make lemonaide and I figure god is just reminding us to "not sweat the small stuff". Thanks for all of the love, support and prayers--keep them coming. Last night Riley thought she would get some needed attention as well. Our neighbor was practicing his swing with his iron and accidently hit Riley's back leg and cutting it open. We had our 8:00pm run to the Animal Hospital and had it checked out. Thankfully no stitches but she got shaved and 2 shots later we were on our way! She has been put on antibiotics and an anti-inflamatory to help with bruising...and a follow up this week at the vet! I am just telling myslef that this is in preperation for Aiden's future injuries. I don't want Aiden to ever have to go to the Emergency Room but you all know Don and his many trips throughout his childhood with broken bones, sprains!!!!

Baby Shower

Well it was a week ago today that Michele, Don's mom, and my mom threw my shower. It was a beautiful day and I can't thank all of those that were able to attend. It is such a blessing to have such great family, friends, and neighbors!!! The theme was Pirate of course to match Aidens nursery...many of you know from the georgous invites that aunt Michelle is quite crafty. The decorations and food were wonderful and all of the gifts were so appreciated. I think all we need to buy are more diapers...you can never have enough of those right?!!! It was a day that Don and I will not forget and I can't wait to show Aiden the pictures when he is older and show him all the love he has in his life! It was so nice seeing everyone and getting to show off my bump that will not be here for much longer!
