The Start of Winter Break!

Sitting tall!

Do I look Like Santa?

Yes I am smiling at my mom...

My friend next door...aren't we cute!

Well winter break unofficially started yesterday due to a much needed SNOW DAY! It was nice getting the extra day with my boys! Well we have met some milestones that mom and dad are very proud of lately. We have very good control of our head and upper body and have just started sitting in the Bumbo Chair. We are really talking now and my dad keeps working on his vowel sounds with him!!! It is quite cute to see grandpa working so hard. The really neat thing that Aiden has started to do is follow our voices with his head now. It is so exciting to see him responding to us. One of the best things that Aiden has started doing in the past couple weeks is smiling at us. No its not maybe gas anymore... it is an official smile and we love it. I am happy to have the time off to update the site...can you tell and get some much needed scrapbooking done! Let it snow, Let it snow, Let it snow!!!

Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Baby's First Thanksgiving!
Yes I am!

Yes I am!

Thanksgiving Day 2008!!!

I am a "Little Turkey"!!!

Well we have a LOT to be thankful for this year and would have never guessed that Aiden would be with us this Thanksgiving. This is exactly one year ago that we did our first fertility treatment that didn't work and little did we know that by Christmas we would be pregnant with Aiden. It is amazing all that can happen in one year. We spent the afternoon with my side of the family then went to Don's parents for dinner. It was a great day and Aiden slept through a lot of it as any little one would! I must say I look foward to next year when he will be eating some real food and getting to see the mess he makes. The break was nice to have with Don and Aiden and I look foward to winter break with them both and maybe catching up on some scrappbooking!

My Costumes!!!

Yes there was more than one. We had the ladybug that Nana bought....the pumpkin that mom bought at the Pumpkin Patch (notice no photo of this one because it was WAY to SMALL and would not go over his head) I later realized it was for a doll not a child... and the spider (which was WAY to big) and realized that you need to see the costume in person and not order it online!!! So thank you Nana for having bought the ladybug because that was the only one that really worked out!!!! None the less he looked cute in them both...even if the one is WAY to big!

Happy Halloween

Trick -or-Treat!!!
Yes this is a candy holder!

What more can you say...look at the face!

Everyone needs a pair of pumpkin socks!

How cute are we?

Well it was a wonderful Halloween. The weather was the nicest that I can remember and I got to take Aiden to school and watch my kids in the Halloween Parade. It was so nice to see all of the parents and students from last year that kept wondering when I would have my baby. The little guy was fully dressed for the event in his ladybug outfit and everyone got a great laugh when seeing him. He was tired bye time we got home and was so hot from his fleece outfit that he got quite the heat rash. We spent the rest of the night with both sets of grandparents handing out candy to the neighborhood kids and enjoying Aiden's First Halloween. As you can tell he had quite the Halloween wardrobe and it was very sad packing all of this stuff up recently. It is hard seeing him grow so fast.

Getting Updated!

Just hanging out with dad!
Taking a nap together!

I do love my mommy!

Enjoying a much needed nap!

Being a working mom has left little time to maintain this poor site! I am going to try to get better and use the swing and gym to let me update things in a quicker fashion! We will see if that works out. Anyways I have been back to work and things are going well. We are getting in the swing of things and figuring out how to eat dinner as a family every night in the 1 hour time frame we have and talk about our days. It has been harder on Don with the whole needing to sleep during the day and Aiden does not want to sleep. Thankfully aunt Michelle has come to the rescue and is helping out so that Don gets some much needed RNR. Even though it was hard on mommy to leave little one it is really neat to see the way he looks at Don now that they are spending some quality time together during the week. We are enjoying each day and can't believe how quickly our little man is growing. He is holding his head up all on his own, enjoys gym time and looking at the lights. The christmas trees are up and he really is in awe of them both. I am going to update photos from Halloween---to ----Thanksgiving and bear with me that I am so behind! We only have 2 weeks of school then I get 2 weeks off for Winter Break and I can't wait.

Getting Ready to Return to Work

Well Aiden, Don and I are enjoying these last few days before I return to school. I have to say I have been quite emotional and dread the thought of not being with Aiden 24/7...but I also am excited about getting my school life back and seeing the kids. I am shadowing my sub on Friday and officially return next Monday. It helps that I only have 1 full week and 2 days then its Thanksgiving Break!!! I have enjoyed watching Aiden grow in these last 8 weeks and can't believe he is now 11 pounds 8 ounces and 21 1/2 inches long. We had our 2 month shots on Monday and it was as traumatic on the parents as it was on poor Aiden. To say he screamed is an understatement!!! After turning a unique shade of purple and whaling for 10 minutes we were in the car and off to sleep he went! Don and I both needed a tylenol but were able to laugh later at the eventful afternoon. Thankfully he had no reactions and as many of you know I was VERY nervous about vaccinating him so I was pleasantly surprised. We will keep you posted as these next very busy weeks and transitions occur!

Halloween Wardrobe!!!

Here we are ready for Katie's Shower
Enjoying my Halloween sleeper from Nana

I am such a cute "little Pumpkin"

Don't I look like an old man?

My first Halloween

While Aiden is vibrating away in his rocker (his new love is not to swing but just to feel the vibrating) I thought I would post a few pictures of Aiden's wardrobe for the upcoming Holiday! We are loving time at home and are happy that the weather is suppose to be nicer as the week goes on and that we can get out of the house for a walk or two. We are very excited for Halloween and we have a couple of costumes to choose from. I will probably take pictures of him in them all. We are going through another growth spurt and that is trying since he wants to eat every 1 1/2 to 2 hours ahhhhhhh I can hardly keep up! We are guessing Aiden to be 10 1/2 pounds and around 21 inches long. Don and I attempted to weigh/measure him ourselves since he does not see the doctor for another 2 weeks. We are continuing tummy time and we have had no other "turn overs" since our big day last week! We are amazed at his ability to focus now and he really loves the mirrors and lights around the house. We are all doing well and will keep you all updated.

Tummy Time!!!

Well we have been using our gym and enjoying watching Aiden focus on things now and we have been working the neck during "tummy time". It is a riot to watch him. On Wednesday, October 22nd Aiden turned over from his belly to his back. I thought this was a freak thing and waited a couple minutes put him on his belly again and to my surprise he did it again! You can all imagine that I was a very proud mommy! Now we have not done this again, but he is working hard at lifting his head. I did get the "turn over" on my camera because I just had this feeling that he was going to and thankfully the camera was near bye. We are sad now that it is getting cold because we have really been enjoying our walks around the neighborhood. Riley will miss them most but hopefully we have some sunny/warm days still left before winter arrives.

The Pumpkin Patch!!!

On October 10th we made a little trip to the Pumpkin Patch. This was mainly for photo taking sake and we needed pumpkins for the front door!!! Nana and Grandpa went with so it was fun to see how the Patch hadn't changed much since we were little. Here are some of the cute photos we got. Things have been going great we are just spending time as a family and figuring out a routine with the little man. I have to say he is so wonderful... he loves his swing and that lets mommy and daddy get things done around the house. I can even vacuum when he is swinging/sleeping away! We are excited that our sleep stretches have increased sometimes to 4 and even a couple 5 hour stretches!!!! I am told that this can and probably will change but hey I will take it. He has been such a good eater/sleeper and has really kept a routine since the day he was born. We are guessing him to be over 10 pounds now and we won't officially find out until his 2 month check up or unless I convince Don that we need to buy a baby scale!!!! Well Aiden is letting me know that it is time to go so we will keep in touch.

Edwards Orchard

Last Monday Don and I took Aiden to Edward's apple orchard. We were honestly craving their donuts and cider but thought it was such a beautiful day to enjoy outside. Of course little man slept through the entire trip!!! He tends to do that after being in his car seat and going for a car ride. It was a nice day and we were happy to take our newest family member to the spot that we both visited as kids ourselves!!! Things have been going well and I can't believe that Aiden is almost 1 month old...how quickly time flies. We have a appointment this week for his 2nd Hep. shot and I can't wait to find out how much he weighs. We have been busy enjoying the nice weather going for walks and both Aiden and Riley love them. Riley has done very well during this whole transition and is VERY happy to be walking with mom again!!!! As you all know Riley NEEDS her walks!

Aiden's Arrival!!!

Well we have had almost 3 weeks with our beautiful boy and have enjoyed the nesting together so far! I am happy to have a couple minutes while daddy takes care of Aiden so I can update our site. We were blessed with our little man on September 17th at 8:38 in the morning. He weighed 8 pounds 4 ounces and was 19 3/4 inches long!!! It was a long labor after being induced Tuesday morning and laboring until 7:30 the next morning my doctor finally decided it was time for a C-Section. Little Aiden did not want to come out and was facing up instead of down and had his cord wrapped around his little body. In the end it all worked out and we were so lucky that he is here and healthy!!!! We can't believe how quickly these 3 weeks have gone bye and we are cherishing each moment. Aiden is a very happy and quite content little baby I keep saying that we are so lucky. I am sure all moms feel that way. Many of you know the journey it took us to get here and after almost 2 years in the process we are in awe of this miracle that is our son! Thanks again to all who have stopped bye and for those that haven't we cant' wait for you to meet him. -All our love Don, Lindsey, and Aiden
