Delivery Date Set!!!

After our appointment today we were able to schedule my induction for Monday night at 10pm. That means that our little man should arrive somtime Tuesday, September 16th. I like the sound of that and Don and I are SO excited. It is also a little scary now knowing that this is our "last" weekend together just the 2 of us and that the following weekend we will have Aiden here as part of the family. We will keep you all updated and will have pictures ready as soon as we can once we are home. We also got great news today that my dads cyst is shrinking better than they thought it would and as of now NO surgery is needed!!!! He will follow up with the doctor in 3 months to check the cyst again but I have to say we are all RELIEVED! Keep us in your thoughts as we voyage into this wonderful thing called parenthood!

It's a Jungle in There!

Well I am waiting on putting picutures of the nursery up until some friends stop bye to see it. I don't want to ruin the surprise for them...but my dad was over Monday and finished painting the bathroom so I thought I would share them with you all. He did a fabulous job painting huge banana leaves and vines throughout Aiden's jungle themed bathroom. I just showed him a picture that I had kept from Pottery Barn Kids and he free drew and painted the room!!!! We are very excited and can't wait for Aiden to get here so we can bath him and put on his handsome blue aligator robe after bathtime! We will also find out this week what the progress is with my dad and surgery. He has an ultrasound to look at the mass that formed and a stress test with the Cardiologist and his final apt. Friday with the GI doctor who will decide if surgery is needed. Please keep your fingers crossed for positive news he is feeling so much better, gaining much needed weight, and told me this week that he is ready to go back to work! I am hoping that we both are NOT in the hospital at the same time.

12 Days and Counting!!!

Well we have only 12 days until our due date...we are hoping that Aiden makes his arrival before then. Many of you have heard me say that he could come today and I would be happy! I really can't complain the discomfort I feel in minimal and I now get to await Aiden's arrival at home since my doctor does not want me working anymore. As some of you know the Thursday before Labor Day my blood pressure went up while I was at school. After seeing little white stars and getting light-headed I knew that I needed to sit down. Thankfully it went down and after a check up at the doctor it was decided that I relax at home. It was only at school that my pressure would go up and I know that is because it is very hard to "sit down" when you teach kindergarten. I am thankful that I have a great sub to take my place and I visited the kids on Friday and helped Molly get everything in line for my leave. I already miss the little ones and these first few exciting weeks at school but I must say everyone was right when they told me I would not make it to my due date!!! Don and I are enjoying these last few days together and making sure the diapers are ready and all of my bags for the hospital are officially packed! I can't wait for that first sign that labor has begun!
